Imari ware is a Western term for a brightly-colored style of Arita ware Japanese export porcelain made in the area of Arita, in the former Hizen Province, northwestern Kyūshū.
This bowl is an excellent reproduction of the Meiji era Imari designs that were popular in the mid to late 19th Century.
The bowl is 10 inches wide and measures 4.5 inches in height. It is in excellent condition and has no cracks or chips.
